I installed my Raptor sata hdd as well as a Hitachi drive on this mobos sata ports and all seems well but here is the weird part:

In the System Tray, the Arrow Icon used for things like USB and Firewire is present and is telling me that I can safely remove the C and D drives. Fortunately, I haven't tried this as I am sure that clicking the C drive would stop Windows dead. Never seen this happen on any other mobo that I installed sata drives and was wondering if this is a peculiarity of this mobo or did I do something wrong? Thanks.

SATA is a hot-swappable technology, at least in theory.

That is true but for the C drive? I've had 2 other mobos with these hdds, an AMD and an Intel, and neither showed the C drive like this. Hopefully, someone with a VNF4 will be able to confirm the problem.
