It boots fine with 2x Mushkin 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200, but does not like 3 x 512mb. Is there a fix for this problem? Thanks for any help.

Look in your manual on how many banks can be filled. Some A64/A64 Mobo's have problems with more than 3 banks filled. Though some are fine with 4. You probably have 6 banks filled which I would guess is a bad thing.

Install all 3 sticks, clear the cmos and reboot. Load setup deafults, reboot and configure.

If this works for you, you will most likly be limited to a max of 166x2 memmory speed if they are double sided dimms. Some have had luck running at 200 with command set to t1, otherwise, there are occasional stability issues at 200 mhz.

Mine worked fine with 3 sticks after the above, with 7/29 bios but i was limited to 166 at auto setting even with 1t command.

Good luck

Thanks all for the input.
I seem to have solved my problem by simply manually setting the memory frequency rather than it running in auto.
