Chaintech VNF3-250 Firewire question

This might be a stupid question but this board doesn't come with firewire right? I have an antec case and the front firewire 1394 square pin is setup to fit a USB front panel slot in the mobo. Is it a big no no to connect the Firewire 9 pin into the USB 9 pin socket?
