Maybe some of you may heard but there is a new bios out foir for the vnf3
http://www.chaintechkorea.com/Pds/I...rchKey=VNF3-250

its a good release, it fixes a number of bugs (the sata led activity dead, usb mice not recognized when overclocking w/ high bus and other problems somebody had), but some are still there, both of them appear as you overclock again w/ high bus:
-the cpu frequency is calculated wrong (not a big issue..)
-if u couple high fsb and low multiplier, the bios still can't perform a cold boot , u have to reboot like all the previous versions.
once they've taken care of these issues they can start thinking about things like adding more memory dividers, ,5 multipliers and other candies that are always welcome .
they're definitely on the right path to let the vnf3 be a very good board.

Hi guys,

I have the VNF3-250 as well.

I have tried long and hard to get the Cool and Quiet to work.

I am using the 7/29 bios ATM.

Can someone help guide me along to fixing this? Ive looked for the bios option to set ACPI to 2.0, but havent found it. CNQ is set to auto now.

Other than that the board is amazing.

I dont think it can be beat for its price!

I'm also curious as to how easily this board can overclock with the stock HSF?

CnQ no workie :( are u serious? I have it set and I think it works...After installing the AMD drivers my temps would idle around 39 and reach about 49 or so for load. it would never break 50C though.

I have this board, and I think its alright, but I'm pissed that when i bought it several months after release there was only 1 BIOS available in the US, and 3 in Korea. It seems very much to me like Chaintech doesn't care about their US consumers. Even now we have to scour the Korean sites to get improved functionality on our boards. The support on their website was also a joke. The only way to contact them is through a form, and submitting the form just always gave me an error. Eventually i think it processed, but i never got a response.

Is it looking like Chaintech is releasing anything new soon or fixing their site and documentation for this board?
