Chaintech Nforce4 gone that quick

I have had a hard time getting a chaintech nforce motherboard... so i went to newegg and said to notify me when it comes in stock. I did this in the morning. Now, at 5pm, i checked my email and it said that newegg got them in stock at 2:00pm or something... so i click the link and their out of stock already!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!? IN 3 HOURS THEY WENT OUT!?!?!?!?! If i want this motherboard, i have to monitor it 24/7... could this be a mistake and they never came in stock?
 
Don't know how many they get when they get them. But I am guessing its not a whole lot. Also you have to figure Newegg is probably the most popular hardware supplier and things can go quick.
 
Yeah, someone posted that they were in stock at around 2:30 in another forum. By the time I checked (3:20), they were gone. This is central time, BTW.
 
yep... im central as we... they were in stock while i was at school and when i get home boom thier gone... i have been waitin' to build my pc for a while now... had a bad deal with an Ebay seller for this mobo... got my money back by the way... but i really want this board



ive gotta watch that thing 24/7.... cant go to school anymore
 
I got my notification email just after 3:30, was in class and didn't get home to read it til 4:30, it was out of stock by then.
 
I am in the same boat so you can bet there were 100 people buying them as soon as they showed up. I really hope they get a big order in soon.
 
nice board, passively cooled, good price... short supply. DAMN knew there was catch in there.
Hopefully they will get more in soon
 
Don't worry, wait for a couple of months, we'll have a tsunami of these Nforce 4 motherboards flooding the market.
 
Yeah, but in the meantime we have a tsunami of overpriced SLI boards a couple of Vanila NF4 but no other Ultra's in sight except the Chaintech. Why is that?

My mom is flying back to Romania on the 24th so she needs to have the board there at the time or I won't get to build my computer for another undetermined period even though I have all the other parts. I don't need SLI so I really don't want to pay the price for it, plus the added bonus (read cash$$$) of being one to get it in the first couple of months of being available.
So why isn't MSI, Asus, Epox or Gigabyte getting any Ultras out?
 
that is exactly what i said... all the big companys have the basic nforce4 and the SLI... Wheres the Ultra!?!?!?I am forced to get the chaintech because its the only one out... I am going to have to monitor newegg and check the site almost every 3 hours 🙂
