chaintech nf4u or a8n-sli

i want to play doom3 unreal hl2 and gaes like tht. i also want to do video editing.i dont need extremely high 3d scores but i need somthing substanchal. i am getiing a 6600gt a64 3200 2.0 1 gb or mushkin ram pc3200. which board whould b better for me? teh chaintech NF4U or the A8N-sli board.

Given your situation, I think the nForce4 Ultra will be fine. For you, SLI would use a lot of extra money for very little benefit. Unless of course you want to run 4 displays, which is possible (in theory) with a SLI board (no added acceleration in that config, you just get to use two cards at full 8x PCIe).
 
The only difference between the NF4U and NF4 SLI chipsets is the SLI function. No performance or features difference otherwise.
 
Depends on whether you want to jump on the SLI bandwagon or not. When things start slowin' down you could buy another 6600GT for cheap, or upgrade to the newest NVIDIA card.
 
I still don't trust the nForce4 chipset yet. Go with a more established S939 nForce3 board, such as the Epox 9NDA3+ or MSI Neo2 Platinum.
