Help. After reading the many posts on the Gainward 750xp and having the same problems (matrix like screen), I RMA'd it back to Newegg and went for the Chaintech. My problem is I can only get an 8300 on 3dmark and from all I read it should at least be in the mid 9's. The only symptom of the problem is my inability to install coolbits or powerstrip without causing system instabilty. Power strip says the card is only running at 285 and coolbits shows the same thing but won't show any core figures. Neither allows any changes. I am running on a Asus P4S533, P4 2.0, 512 Corsair DDR, and Viewsonic PS790 monitor. I am using the 28.32 drivers and Win98SE. Is there any other software I can use, or does this sound like a hardware problem? If anyone can give me any direction in diagnosing and/or solving, it would be much appreciated.
