Chaintech AV-710 sound card drivers

I'm having trouble installing drivers for this card. They won't isntall off the CD, so I let Windows update drivers from MS and these won't install either. Message says data is invalid. I'm in the process of downloading drivers from Chaintech. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I couldnt install the drivers from the cd either. If you go to the chaintech usa website, there are a set of drivers on there. They worked fine for me.

Don't download from chaintech's site, nor use the drivers on the cd, nor the one that comes with windows.
Go to viaarena.com to download them. I've also heard the 1.43d drivers work the best. The newer ones have a volume bug in it.

I cannot get any of these drivers to install. I deleted previous trys, then ran set up from the viaarena site download. This seemed to go OK. After restart, Windows detects new hardware. I run the set up utility and point it to the files from viaarena. When files are done copying, I get a message "Data is invalid". My mobo has intregrated audio. Do I have to disable something related to that 1st? I have this card in my 3rd PCI slot.

I disabled the onboard sound in BIOS, but I'm still getting the message "data is invalid" after attempting to install the drivers. I can see the driver file "Envy24HF.sys" in C:\windows\drivers.

Get the VIA 1.43 drivers for it. I had to install them in safe mode, as Windows gave me no choice otherwise (automatically installed the newest ones). Search for chaintech 710 on head-fi for a link to it, reasoning why these are the best drivers, and info on setting it up so it uses the high quality DAC (by default it doesn't). Kind of a pain, but $25 for an audiophile sound card is a great deal and well worth it.

OK this is starting to get me PO's. I got the 1.43 drivers, but still get the message "'data is invalid" , even after installing in safe mode. I used the windows installer, but pointed it to the driver I wanted. I pointed it to the Envy 24HF.sys file. I guess that's the right one? My Envy 24HF.sys file is dated 10/1/2003, which seems to be the right one. I've never had this card working with any driver version. No matter what I try, I get the data is invalid message.
