Did you go into the BIOS setup and adjust the settings to suit your hardware, see if the drives are recognized, set the boot sequence to what you want for installing Win?
. If not, clear the CMOS (follow mobo mfr's directions explicitly - generally you will want the power totally disconnected either by the on/off switch on the back of the PSU or unplug from wall). If standby power is present, it may cause CMOS clearing attempts to fail - unless the mfr's instructions say differently. Make sure all drives are jumpered to CableSelect with the drive you want to be the Master on the cable at the end connector - Slave is on the middle connector - make sure the mobo end (usually blue) is plugged into the mobo (won't work if backwards).
. Use ALL 80-wire ATA 100/133 cables regardless of the speed rating of your drives. Then go into the BIOS and adjust the basic settings Time, Date, make sure all the on-board peripherals that you want are Enabled etc.. If you still have problems, try a different cable. The darn cables today are made so cheaply it's a wonder they work at all.
. Try that for a start.
