Chaintech 7NJL3 vs 7NJL4 - What are the differences?

The Chaintech 7NJL3 sells at Future Power for $59 shipped
The Chaintech 7NJL4 sells at New Egg for $75 shipped

It appears that the only difference is that

The ..L3 has the nForce2 400 basic (single channel memory) chipset
The ..L4 has the nForce2 400 Ultra (dual channel memory) chipset

I am leaning toward the 7NJL3, as the duel channel memory seems to add little performance without the onboard video.

Does anyone know if the ..N3 is as good as the ..N4 is reported to be?

look for the soltek single channel thread here and it will give you some insight into single channel vs dual channel nforce2 chipsets. Actually the single channel holds it own quite well in the one article I've found on it.

Yes, in some cases the single channel seems to even be faster, as the controler doesn't have to deal with the overhead of managing the 2nd channels.
