Chaintech 60JV2 mobo - advise for installing drivers.

I recently spent a lot of time installing a Chaintech mobo (60JV2, 815e chipset with onboard sound/video).
The reason is the drivers that comes with the mobo is worthless and is really a pitiful example of support.
That is if you are using W2k as your o/s.

The video may come out ok, it is the audio that gave me fits.
The onboard chip (Creative) as well as the AC97' codec are really good sound devices. To get them to work is another story without the proper drivers.
Fortunately, I had other 815e mobo's that came with drivers for the AC97' chip. (Abit SE6).
the 801xxAB is the one that works, not the xxxBA dirver or the xxxxAA version.

So if you have this mobo and have trouble getting the sound to work, get the AC97' codec drivers for the Intel 815e mobo's.
Don't bother with trying to get the Creative drivers to work.

iF Anyone is able to get the Creative Chipset drivers to go, please let me know.

Other than that, the mobo is really a good one for the price. I am running a Celeron 800/100 at 966/125. (not exactly sure of the 966, but thats close). Runs cool and stable with timing settings of 2/3/2 5/7 using CAS2 ram

The oc'ing is done in the bios by simply choosing settings and memory speed.
