Oh man, I really liked this very talented actor. Far too soon, his poor family. Link

Colon cancer, been fighting it since 2016. I had no idea. RIP Chadwick.

Damn. :coldsweat: RIP.

(Best known for Black Panther in the MCU for those who don’t know him. Also played Jackie Robinson in 42).

I was shocked when I heard this. Then to think he did Black Panther and End Game while fighting cancer. My god that’s impressive.

I don’t know if he ever made it public he was ill. I never heard anything about him fighting cancer until today.

theres video apparently from April that he posted where he was looking very slim and people were speculating. Guess he never came out in the open about his diagnosis and battle. He died on Jackie Robinson day in the MLB, a man who he played in the movie ‘42.

man... RIP.

It's heartbreaking, but I like to look at it this way: I'm glad he could enjoy success and make a lasting mark on movies in such a short time. That's a life well-lived.

Rest in peace.

On another note, colon cancer rates have been rising in young people. The ACS recently lowered the age for the first screening colonoscopy to 45, from 50. May need to even go lower...

Played James Brown in Get On Up.

Awesome performance.

Perhaps we are finally witnessing the first consequence of having an ever increasing number of plastic micro particles accumulating in our organs and other tissues.

Anybody that's seen the indie film The Thaw, has to wonder if something lying dormant in melting ice caps, might be factor.

Shocking and sad. Amazing that he was already fighting colon cancer during his most memorable performances. I like to cook spicy food, so I constantly think of his paprika line from SNL.

Looks like not too many people knew. Reminds me of Patrick Swayze, who kept working while fighting pancreatic cancer. The nice humble guys who keep their chin up while slowly being eaten away, breaks my heart. I guess I know why he always looked sad to me. He was mostly likely in pain.

I feel so bad for little black boys right now. Like things aren't already fucked up enough for them and their families. This is the opposite of a black girl getting married to a real prince.

Going to watch Black Panther with my boys tonight.

I'm going to find a copy of Marshall to put on my watchlist. Netflix didn't have maybe Amazon

Not at all to derail the thread, but Swayze had bad back injuries and pain for most of his career.

I agree with those sentiments.
