Why is that Rollo?

Just because your 5800 sucked at DX9 doesn't mean the 9800 sucks at it, the performance between the 6600 and 9800 is pretty close so...

Why is it that every thread Rollo makes trolls like you come and scream at him for being an Nvidia fanboy. Trolls like you also like to bring up his past experiences when he traded his 9800 for a 5800U, everyone makes mistakes. He explains how CGW made an article bashing the X1300pro with a passion and how he thinks its the most hateful article hes ever read. No where in this did he say anything about Nvidia or anything till trolls like you said something about it.

I don't think trading for the 5800U was a mistake though, I knew I'd be getting 6800s and X800s in two months and just wanted to try it out. I ended up getting about $20 less than I would have got for the 9800Pro for it, and got to try another card for a couple months. (although it was a small downgrade)

Anyway, thanks for the post, I doubt you'll convince the Troll Brigade, but it's nice when people notice what they're up to. One of them actually PMd me out of nowhere today and called me a "POS" and "scum", so I put him on "ignore".

Nicely said.

I dont see why people go on about rollo trading his 9800pro for 5800U.. he said he wanted to try it, and would anyway grab a 6800/X800 2 months later.

I think people join and post in AT just to flame rollo...

The way I buy video cards is different than most people Cookie. As a middle aged hobbyist I can afford to buy one to try a while and take a little loss when I sell it.

The whole concept of this just seems to enrage people. Like I said, I even posted when I traded for the 5800U that it would only be in my box till the X800s/6800s came out. Then when I got it, I only posted that it wasn't as bad as people say, and almost as good as the 9800Pro.

LOL- some people need to get a grip and realize these are just video cards, not some measure of IQ or social status.

I bid $620 on a X1800XT last month (lost) to try it out, but do you think these same "rational people" would have posted for 2 years "OMFG! Rollo is teh idiot who went from a 7800GTX SLI to a X1800XT!"
THAT would have been a easily as big of a step down than the 9800Pro >5800U was, but I probably would have got love letters from these same people.
