I got bored last week and replaced every incandescent light bulb (except for closets) in the house as follows:
(12) 40w vanity lights in bathrooms.
(12) 75w bulbs throughout the house, including all amps and recessed lighting.
(05) 75w bulbs outside.
(02) 75w bulbs in the kitchen which were always on when I am home.
(02) 100w bulbs in the garage.
(02) 85w recessed floodlights over the fireplace which were always on when I am home.
I live alone in this 1600sq. ft. house, am home most nights, and my water, stove, dryer, and heat is natural gas. My electric bill last month was $80.00, so no air conditioning was used. What is your best guess on the savings per month? I'm guessing 25%...
