From new offerings: BeQuiet! will offer new versions of their Dark Rock lineup:
Dark Rock 4 and Dark Rock Pro 4.

Mounting improvements and ceramic coating instead of paint on the coolers. Interesting

But the most interesting design that has appeared: CoolerMaster G100M, which looks like a UFO with RGB

This thread is meant to post everything from CES, about coolers(yes, for me they are one of most important parts of the computer...).

The UFO costs 54$? Madness... :(

Heck, its more expensive than Be Quiet Shadow Rock 2.

Big bummer on the price. I assume you could charge extra for any RGB thingy on your product today.

Ah, found the review for the "ufo" cooler.
https://www.eteknix.com/cooler-master-masterair-g100m-ufo-rgb-cpu-cooler-review/

For RRP GBP40 ~ USD54, I would still prefer this though, except if what you're looking for is the RGB bling instead of ultimate cooling capacity.

Apples and oranges both on the pricing and the product.

Pricing wise, you can't just look at the current currency conversation rate. The Noctua NH-L12S (which would be one of the UFO's competitors) looks to be 45 GBP from UK retailers. That would be 62 USD going by exchange rate. It generally retails for about 50 USD which would be 37 GBP.

Product wise, this is a low profile cooler. The only other product in that lone review that's supposedly "compact" is the similarly priced be quiet! Shadow Rock TF 2. However, calling that low profile is a joke. At 112mm, that's well past the height limit of most cases requiring a low profile cooler. Yet the UFO manages to slightly edge out the TF 2 at stock clocks. That's actually pretty impressive and if the RGB bling is your thing, that makes it a pretty solid deal. What I'd really like to see is a comparison of the UFO vs comparable cooler. Noctua NH-L12S (70mm), Cryorig C7 (47mm), Phanteks PH-TC12LS (74mm), Scythe Kozuti (80mm), etc.

Ah, I forgot about EU "special price". Apologise about that.

No worries. Has the Wraith Max actually been widely retail available yet? I know it's popped up in spurts. With it's design however, you're not going to get an Intel mount on it and they don't have an incentive to make a separate Intel version.

Amazon still has one, pricey though. To make it works with Intel mount, they should rework its contact base, so yeah, never gonna happen in near future.
