Certain USB moust not working on NF7-S...

I've used my IBM optical navigator mouse for a while now. I recently upgraded to an abit nf7-s. The problem is that my IBM mouse wont stay on after being plugged into the USB port. I'm using a logitech USB mouse right now and it works fine. I've also tried a microsoft intellimouse optical and it also works fine. But when I plug my IBM mouse into the usb port I see that the light comes on very dim for a couple seconds and windows starts to detect it, but then the lights shut off and windows doesn't see it anymore. What could the problem be? The mouse still works because I just tested it on another computer. Do I have bad USB ports or something?
