Certain sites do not load properly on network

I've noticed a strange issue while at work. Three sites in particular (eBay, NetFlix, and NewEgg), as well as some forum sites, do not load properly. It doesn't matter which browser I'm using. eBay and NewEgg will not load graphics. Sometimes they default to the WAP version of the page as well.

Some forum sites, such as vwvortex.com and everythingq.com -- they will often time out when trying to load. A Borland developer forum I frequent also displays improperly.

I assumed it was something wrong with the IE6 installation on my laptop, so I ran Firefox (both off the HD and from my thumbdrive) -- but it was the same. I tethered my cell phone to the laptop, and all of the sites load fine.

I spoke to the network admins here asking what types of sites were filtered. They showed me a short list -- basically, MySpace, ESPN, some fantasy sports sites, and that was about it. They had no idea why those sites weren't loading properly.

are you seriously asking this? Please, if you don't understand, don't post a nonsense reply. MTU for the gateway would have no effect on something like this.
