Hi, Has anyone here tried Ceramique by arctic silver. I'm getting some and have 2 questions:

1. How good is it?

2. In the instructions on their site when you put the ceramique on the die they say to put a small amount on the die, but they don't say to spread it out evenly. It seems as though you just put a small blob in the center then attach the heatsink. Is this correct?

Thanks

I've been meaning to try it myself, LMK if it's less messy than the I-III and definitely apply a thin coated layer ;)

the stuff is pretty good. it's less messy than AS3, but it is thick and very hard to spread evenly. the temps seem to be about the same as as3, once it has had a chance to "break in". i bought the big tube at SVC.com, and i haven't regretted it.

Thanx brudda :) sounds like Shin-Etsu to work with which is a good thing in my eyes, I'll put it on my items to purchase list.

Ok. I did get ceramique. It was easy to apply. I did smear it on the die instead of just leaving a small amount on the center of the die. My temps are low. I like it!

At least you can apply it. I got a tube of Shin-Etsu and wasted half of it trying to apply it. Temps with Shin-Etsu weren't any better than with ASIII and it took about $3 worth before I could get it applied correctly. Ceramique applies a little easier than ASIII, temps are basically the same as ASIII.

LMAO, pretty much sums up my experience with it except it immediately dropped my temp 1c compared to settled in ASIII. I would still pick it over ASIII costly or not because ASII-III is messy, nasty crap IMO. Sounds like ceramique is the perfect blend so it'll be my next buy&try.

The nice thing about ceramique is that it's cheaper as well. There is a guy on ebay selling them for $3.33 each. Just search for "arctic ceramique".
