Centrino Wireless-N 2200 BGN 2x2 disconnects and reconnects

Here's my config:

IdeaPad Y580
i7-3610
8 GB PC12800
240GB Mushkin SSD (Win7x64 Pro, SP1 installed)
1 TB Seagate 5400 RPM
nVidia GTX 660M (2GB)

and importantly:
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200 BGN 2x2 HMC WiFi/Bluetooth Adapter
Driver 15.3.1.2, 30 September 2013

I've had this laptop since September and have absolutely loved it. However, over the last few weeks, the wireless connectivity has gotten progressively worse. It seems completely intermittent. It will disconnect without reason, then reconnect without having to try (Sometimes...other times I have to connect manually). Sometimes it'll stay up for long periods, other times it'll just disconnect out of nowhere and I'll go through this painful cycle of disconnecting and reconnecting over and over again.

I'm really befuddled about this. I've already done the whole router reboot/reset, updated the drivers, did all Win-7-64 updates, etc.

Do I just need to buy a new internal wireless card or something?

any help greatly appreciated.

Just to make sure that the router isn't acting funny, do you have other wireless devices that don't disconnect from the router during use?

nope, the router seems ok. I've rebooted/reset it a few times as well.

So you're saying that your other devices are OK on this router or that you don't have other devices on the router? Rebooting may or may not help a router. I have experienced this many times. Have you reset the router completely (holding the reset button in for 30 seconds or so) and then entered the settings back in manually?

Also, have you tried to set the router to a different channel or upper/lower N band to see if that makes a difference?

i have several other devices that connect to the router. Only this laptop has problems now, and only recently.

I have the same problem. I bought my Lenovo Y480 2 weeks ago and I've had internet connection problems almost from the beginning. I have a Netgear N150 router, brand new. My wife's MacBook Pro has no problems with connectivity, neither do our smart phones or any of our friends who bring over tablets or laptops and connect to our router. The "device is working properly" and it is up to date, which doesn't instill me with confidence. Anyone know how to fix this, other than sending it in to be replaced?

My laptop:
Lenovo Y480
i5-3210M @ 2.5GHz (64 bit)
Windows 8 (unfortunately)
8GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GT 650M (2GB dedicated)
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200

Router: Netgear N150
