Centrifugal Blowers...

I can't believe these things aren't talked about more often! I just bought a case from a fellow ATer (incallisto), and he included a small blower with it. I hooked the blower up so it blows over my processor. Now I idle around 35-37 degrees. And it's quiet! i have other fans rigged to a baybus so i can turn up the CFM when i need to, but usually just the blower gets me by!

These things are amazing, you guys should check them out.

I just started a thread that asked the same thing. Is yours 12volts? Is there a brand name on it? Know where I can find one? I saw a case mod a year ago with one that the guy said he got it from Radio Shack. I wonder if they still sell it?

what is this blower you refer to? Is it like a squirrel-cage fan or what? pics?

Like the Nidec Gammas, eh? Except they are fairly noisy for the airflow. I liked the large 110v one that they had over on Overclockers.com, now theres some serious cooling...

Yeah, it's small Nidec... does somewhere between 28-30 CFM
