We'll be back in the Ames area. I am looking for some good high speed connection providers. I have TimeWarner/RoadRunner cable service here in Ohio and I don't wan't to give it up.

You'll likely have AT&T@HOME and possibly US West DSL available.

Ames area. Maybe Boone, Madrid, Polk City, etc... Trying not to get out in the middle of no where. :) I just started hosting my website on my computer and will be hosting others so I want a fast connection.

Des Moines here. Didn't know there was so many from IA. :)

fir3wir3 is right. Only ATT@Home Cable, and QWEST DSL.

My friend has used both of them, so I think QWEST is better.

Yeah, we are from southern IA. Wife went to school at IA State. When she graduated in 96 we moved to Florida then a year ago to Ohio.

Thanks, I'll check them out, not if I could get the url in my signature to work right. ;)

I actually like @home but if you wanna upload, you're screwed

personally I have both qwest dsl and @home cable

use cable for web and downloads

dsl for games only.

I get up to 500 kb/s downloads w/ the cable

Ok, spent the weekend in and around Ames. It was good to be backin the area looking for a lot to build a house on. We move around March 21st into a rental in Boone until we decide on a lot. Might ether be in Boone or Huxley depending on where I get a job. Wife is working for ISU so trying to stay close to Ames.

Not really anything in Boone for high speed connections yet so I will have to do without for a while. :( Huxley where we might build has DSL aDSL and is going to have fibre to each this summer supposedly.

Talk to you all later!
