Microcenter has the drive for 229, price match at Staples which sells it for 299.99

so $299.99-$229.00 is $70.99. Staples has 110% Pricematching policy. So $70.99 *1.1= $78.09

$299.99-$78.09= $221.90

This drive also has a $30 Dollar Rebate Valid at Microcenter only. Some Staples Managers will include this in the Price Match, which would drop your drive to under $200 dollars. Also some managers allow you to use Coupons, further lowering your price.

Either way, you could also order from Microcenter and get it for just a tad under $200, depending on how long you want to wait for your drive.

you can use $50 off $200 coupon or a $30 off $150 coupon on the drive to get it even cheaper, $220-$50=$170 $220-$30=$190

Staples enacted a new pricematching policy effective 1/1/2003, I think there is no "PM + Coupons" thing anymore. You probably stand a better chance of trying to see if Microcenter would honor Staples' coupon. :D:|:Q:p:cool::frown:

I just picked one up a few days ago for about $200 from Microcenter. It may not be a HOT deal, but it was pretty good for me. For an extra 10 bux off I don't even think its worth going through all that hassle.

The original post was for the <FONT face=Arial size=1>Internal 4x DVD-R/RW Drive (Model # CDI CD 00209). When I looked at Microcenter just now, the $263.20 drive is model #CDI CD 00125 (still a 4x -R/RW burner, though no rebate). I did a part # search, and can't find the 00209 drive there. I'm not that familiar w/ CenDyne models to know what the difference is.</FONT>

Still a deal at OfficeMax. (No PM needed)

Officemax has it at my local B&M for $269.99 (now pay attention kiddies)

There are 2 model drives with the same SKU. ONline shows SKU# 20146496 for model #CDICD00106 which is the 2x A04 model. I have the pull tag from my B&M. Same SKU number, but with model #CDICD00209, which is the A05 4x model. If you look at the Cendyne rebate, there is a $50 rebate for _BOTH_ models.

So its $269 - $50 for $219.99. This is for the 4x model A05.

Tell them to look at store #453 in Calif if they have another price.

Here is a scan of the Pull Tab

Staples has for $249, $199 after $50 rebate. You know where to find Staples coupons which can lower your cost to $150 AR.

Roger that. A nice deal indeed. However this item(s) have been covered in this thread link already and can be bought for about $129-$139 at Office Max. In addition to the $50 MIR, you can search and find OM coupons for $40 -$50 off $200. Makes a sweet deal. (until the new SONY COMBO drives that are now available get ridiculously low. link =(Sony DRU-500A DVD Burner @ Outpost.com $299).It is both DVD-R, and DVD+R , too cool.:D
