I found at Officemax they had a Cendyne 2x DVD-R/RW for $169.99 after a $50 mail in rebate. They also had a 4x speed for $80 more. The sale is no longer active, but I went ahead and placed an order by phone right before the sale ended. They are on back order and I have about two weeks to cancel the order if I decide to. I would like to copy dvd's for backup, but am also interested in using it for backup, primarily. Should I keep or cancel? I can't afford any thing more right now.

I have that one and it is really nice....it is a rebadged Pioneer Dv104 and can be updated firmware wise to run all sorts of cheaper media....

It comes with quite a nice bundle of programs...I was burning a workable dvd-rw dvd in 1-1/2hours...It had animated menu, audio in the menu, active buttons and it worked in my standalone dvd player...

If you need any help on how to do this contact me and let me know. I will give you all of the software. (It is shareware anyways, but at least you don't have to search for it)
