Whoever the writers say wins, we can't discuss their actual physical or wrestling merits.. Fake show is fake

I get the feeling from some of the things I have seen recently that they are setting up Lesnar for an 80's Hogan type of push. For better or worse...heheh

The topic has come up so I figure this as good as time as any.

Can Cena overcome the odds, or does the 1 in 21-1 have his number? They each have a PPV win over each other (though I expect those to be retconned). If this is anything like their last bout we can expect a bloody barn burner.

What odds?? It´s fake

In before people coming into a wrestling thread to point out it's fake.

I think they will have Brock win. The need to justify him beating undertaker at wrestlemania. If he does not win there was no reason to him defeat "the streak"

I'd like to think Brock will go over on Cena. That might be wishful thinking on my part though. As "super cena" still sells a lot of merch to the little kids and is still treated as the golden calf by Vince.

Brock has such a limited schedule that if he were to take the belt, he'd better plan on making more appearances than 3 times a year to defend it. I'm still concerned about his health and the recurrence of his diverticulitis.

If Cena wins, then they can keep having Seth Rollins try and cash in with his MITB, which builds up both Rollins and Ambrose for denying Rollins the opportunity to cash it in.

I say Cena keeps it but drops it to Reigns later this year. Reigns is going to be Cena's replacement eventually, but his mic skills are terrible compared to Ambrose and Rollins. You either have mic skills or you don't, you do not learn how to cut a great promo.

If Brock wins .... I dunno who would take the strap from him, unless they really push Reigns and have him win at WM next year.

yeah.

If they have brock win it's going to suck. having the champ on 3 times a year? though i still say they put it on him. He won against Undertaker and killed the streak. i don't see burying him to cena after that.

Well we know its fake, but that doesnt mean its not lame to have odds on a fake scripted show that neither person has an influence on the outcome.

How do you know that they don't aggregate comments from the Internet to determine which outcome is best for their bottom line? That is, if a character seems unpopular, let him fade. Or, if a character is particularly hated, you've found a good archnemesis for the future, etc.

Because Daniel Bryan is proof they don't pay attention. The guy had literally every stadium chanting "Yes! Yes! Yes!" or "No! No! No!" and wasn't given any kind of spotlight until recently.

As for the OP, I think Cena wins. Plenty of people like Brock Lesner, but he just isn't around enough to have the belt. And, if he does manage to win, it won't be a clean win or it will be due to Cena injury (see Undertaker win).

And, since this is apparently still a thing, yes, the outcomes are predetermined (and don't always go as written) and they are trained to not hurt each other while still entertaining. Nobody cares! Guess what? Every movie and TV show you've ever seen was also scripted and fake! Get over it already.

Way to much politics in WWE these days for any of that to happen. They push guys to appeal to certain demographics, they're friends with the right people, or as we saw on the last PPV to promote something instead of the guy that can get the crowd on their feet. If Ted Turner was still on the verge of bankrupting WWE they might be determining winners from who gets the most hashtags during the match, but instead we get unchecked ego's making the decisions.

What's the difference between this and some NFL / NBA games ...many of which seem scripted as well.

lol 'wrestling'

hC166ED02

I loved this when it went around. I mean, pro wrestling is about entertainment, right? I thought this was pretty entertaining.

Chikara does a lot of stupid stuff as well. Like slow motion wrestling. But its fun to watch and, in the end, isn't that really what anyone watches anything for?

I'm torn on this one. It's so easy to guess 'lolcenawins'. But Brock had been built up to be a monster. But he doesn't wrestle a full schedule. I say that if he wins he drops it to Reigns within two PPV's.

My idea prediction is Lesnar wins at SS. Rollins cashes in right after the match while Lesnar is injured.

This keeps Brock's 'unstoppable' thing in place and removes the schedule constraints the WWE would have to work with him on.

I think Lesnar will win and it'll be stupid. They will have a champion that likely won't wrestle until the next PPV.

yeah that too.

they had the miz win because his movie. Same shit happened with Batista at the Royal Rumble. he comes back after shooting guardians of the galaxy and wins. The stadium shit on him so bad (and Rey mysterio) because they wanted Danial brians to win

oh yeah he is going to win. He Beat undertaker at wrestlmania. They have to do something with that. otherwise him ending the streak was a waste.

I see Brock winning and then not being on TV for 3 months..

I counter your force chokeslam with the most illegal move.
Night of Champions is the following PPV so Brock will be defending there if he wins at least. The dirt sheets are saying WWE wants to stack that PPV to get everyone to renew their network subs. Its bunch of lower tier PPVs until the Rumble next year though. Rollins cashes in, Brock can then demand his rematch at the Rumble (lets do this) then carry it through the road to WM if they want to go want to put Reigns over by then.

I think Lessner will win. He will show up for more matches when the money comes, and holding the championship belt, the money will come. It will also cause a gigantic rematch between Lessner and Cena for following month or so. This means more money. Money is all the 'authority' cares about, so Lessner must win. I'm just wondering why other MMA fighters have not made the move to WWE. It's much easier and quicker money. The only way to predict a WWE match is to figure out which wrestler or win will create the most money. WWE is hurting right now. Their Network is suffering and Vince lost close to one billion dollars. They need money bad and allowing Lessner to win will have just as many if not more viewers for the rematch.
