well we were horrid for the better part of last century

not true. the red sox were the second best (first loser) team over the entire century, including 5 titles. the bruins were awesome in the 70's. the celtics simply dominated the 50's and 60's and split the 80's with the lakers. the pats were hopeless for about 30 years until bob kraft bought the team in 92. 2007/8 could be better than the legendary 1984-1986 period in sports. it's about time the hub of the universe reclaimed it's place in sports.

Kraft bought the team in '94.

Bruins had decent teams in the late 80s, they just got crushed along with every other team by the Oilers.
