Cellular Service in the Northeast

Can anyone recommend a good cellular service in the New York/New Jersey area. I text alot and I also talk a lot. Does anybody have any good recommendations.

Verizon has good coverage in NJ.

i think t-mobile is good for NYC, (but NOT long island), and has cheap text plans. do NOT get cingular...

yeah most people I know from that part of the country have Verizon..vastly different from the South and Southwest where Cingular/Sprint dominate (no idea what goes on on the west coast). I would go with Verizon for the "IN" alone based on that fact. Although my sister has Cingular in NYC and doesn't seem to have any issues. What do your friends and family have?

Most have Verizon and I have Sprint because of their Data Plans.

I'm in NYC. People say Verizon is great, but I like unlocked GSM phones, so I stick with Cingular and Tmobile. I haven't had problems recently (I used to have problems with Cingular before they consumed ATT Wireless). My sister has Sprint and she gets dropped calls left and right.
