for those cellphone experts out there... i am trying to get a certain phone that is of older models, i have cingular, which uses GSM more than TDMA nowadays. this GSM phone i want is only available in the UK, and I am thinking about ordering one. It is the Nokia 7110, which supports gsm900/1800 networks. I am wondering if it takes the same GSM chip, and whether if it work here in the states
 
it'll take the same chip, but since it operates on gsm900/1800mhz, it will certainly -not- work in the US/Canada. See if Nokia has an equivalent 850/1900mhz edition of the phone.
