Cellphone technology is realy getting nice.

I bought a nokia 5165 on the weekend - actually I signed up for two years so the phone was free. For only $30/month (CAN) I get a bunch of minutes, bunch of long distance, and also inbound/outbound email which is costing only $6/month. Add to that that I've got a week of standby and 3 hours of talk time...I can't wait to see whats available in the coming years 🙂

Did you hear about the UMTS auctions over here ? It's like broadband for cell phones. Boy these babies are gonna rock. Imagine streaming video on a cell phone. 😎
edit: They will be more like portable devices rather than cell phones

I know, nokia has a new phone - its a bit larger than a regular phone but unfolds with a keyboard and large 4000 color screen. I had a blackberry email thing a few months back, its pretty sweet...but another couple of years when we can have some wireless decent speed with real internet browsing (not these silly text-only wireless sites) and stuff its going to be very nice.
