My mom who is a realtor needs to get a new cellphone since her old one is preatty dated. She was looking at the Motorolla V60 which is on sale for $180 CDN and I was wondering if it would be a good buy?

BTW, she dosen't want to spend over $200 CDN (~$135 US)

Is this GSM or CDMA?

Uhhh... I have no idea. I'm not really up to date with cellphone technology myself thus I come here.

We live in British Columbia, Canada and my mom's current cellphone has some reception problems and that's the main reason she is buying a new cellphone.

You need to know the type of cell phone she uses, GSM, TDMA, CDMA. GSM phones are only compatible with GSM providers like T-Mobile or AT&T. Companies like Verizon and Sprint are CDMA. For the US at least...

According the Howard Forums,

Bell Mobility is CDMA
Fido/Microcell is GSM
Telus PCS / MiKE is a CDMA and iDen
Rogers AT&T is TDMA and GSM

Since your mom uses the cell phone extensively for work why dont you find wireless companies and check their coverage in the areas she roams then pick the most appropriate cell phone that has the best coverage?

that's right!! cool cell phones only give you cool features but companies offer services and coverages. So, inquire by phone or personally.
