so i just realized that my friends have been calling me all day, but only to get my voicemail after 4 rings. my phone on the other hand gives no indication of it. so i called up cingular and updated my IMEI number. does that fix the problem?
 
no that is just a scam. call them back and tell them you want it fixed for real this time. and tell them you don't like people playing on your phone.
