Cellphone headset recommendation

Just bought my first cellphone yesterday (gotta send my current one back to my employer) and wonder what kind of headset I should get. The phone is an LG VX4500, and it has a 2.5mm headset port.

I'd like something that I can use handsfree at my computer and in my car. Don't want to pay too much, but I'd like it to be comfortable and the sound to be reasonably good. I'm just talking voice here, so it doesn't need to be the absolute best sound quality.

At the store they had Plantronics, which the CSR said he liked and he sold me a Plantronics MX150VR for $30, but even if I decide I like that, I'll return it because I can get it for more than $10 cheaper on ebay, I found out. That's an earbud type thing. I haven't worn an earbud I liked, but this might be different. I haven't really tried them, just something that came with an old phone I had, I guess. Anyway, I'm not taking the Plantronix MX150VR out of the packaging, it's going back. They sell Plantronics MX150 also on ebay, is that the same? I sort of think I'd be happier with the kind that fits over the head, even with one ear support only, but to tell the truth, it would have to be my left ear. I think it's a lot better than my right!

Thanks for sage advice!

Edit: The picture on the MX150VR package shows it being worn on the right ear. Oh, oh!

I *really* like my Jabra Freespeak Bluetooth wireless headset. Very light, very comfortable, and no wires to snag yourself on while you're driving. They also make a version for non-bluetooth phones (the phone plugs into the belt clip/charging cradle, which transmits wirelessly to the headset). Costs around $100, though -- and you seem ready to go through a lot of effort to save $10 on a $30 headset already.

Yeah, I don't want to spend much for a headset. I don't drive much. Most of the usage will be for when I'm at my computer. The cellphone actually has speakerphone capabilities, but I figure a headset might work out better in terms of clean communication two-way.

Edit: I can't believe it. The following advertisement is at the top of this thread right now. It it a coincidence or do they have thread-mining adware at Anandtech Forums????

I have the Bodyglove earbud, I like it cause the wire is braided metal wire. I have gone through 3 or 4 earbuds from the wire shorting or breaking. So far the Bodyglove has not broken, I've had it 6 months and I'm brutal on it.

How's the quality and comfort? I read in a post that all of them sound OK, but most don't sound OK to whoever you are talking to. The Plantronics are said to be very good for that, though. Thanks!

I did some Google Group searching on the Bodyglove earbud and found a post where a guy said he sounded crappy to other people when he used it. So, I'm going to have to scratch that idea absent recommendations. Plantronics is the only one I've heard sounds good on both ends. I'm sure there are others. The cheaper Plantronics are the earbuds. I don't know that I'll use it enough to justify getting a regular Plantronics headset, which is probably over $50.
