Cellphone for work....I need some help picking one...

What's the cheapest and smallest prepay phone to get?

What's the cheapest prepay cellphone plan available?

I'm trying to find one so I can get a phone for work. Just need to get something that will ring when they call me that isn't too big to lug around with me everywhere. Thanks,

I work for the state....They're doing a weird reimbursement thing. Basically, its a $30 allowance to cover the bill, etc....but I'm going to hold out to let them pay for 100% of it. If I go the prepay route, the minute will carry over and I'll actually make money on the deal after the initial investment of the phone....thus I want a cheap or free one.

I guess prepaid cells aren't very popular. I can't find a decent deal on one anywhere that I would want... They also seem to be pretty pricey on the plans. I'm only going to be getting $360/yr -pretax for a phone through work.

Around here, Tmobile offers a prepaid starter kit for about $40, plus you buy the $100 prepaid card. It works out to about 1100 minutes for a year with the phone for $140. (Possibly better deals if you use the Hot Deals section of the site.)

Also, www.howardforums.com discusses all things mobile phone related.

Edit: The phone is a Samsung X495, I think.
