Fellow bodybuilders ;) ...

I have been lifting for somewhere in the range of 9 months now.. Start at 130LB now weighing about 160..

I just finished my first 2LB jar of Cell tech.. Gained about 5-8Lbs.. (2weeks)

I am now moving on to another thing of Cell tech, i am going to stack it with Nitro Tech and protein.. (Cell Tech + Nitro + Protein )

I plan on hitting 175 by Christmas which i think is very reasonable.. What do you think?

Any side effects that anyone has experienced... ?

Basically if you read the article it's about a NFL player named Jake Cloud who tested positive for steroids because Muscletech did not mention that it's Nitrotech product which he was using contained steroid precursers. Or it could have been a contaminated batch.

GL with the weight gain.

Thanks for the link..

Cell Tech all around seems to be pretty good, much better gains than strictly creatine...

I'll look into the Nitro..

Any other opinions?!?

Well, I do know what your wallet will be lighter that's for sure!

If it works for you then good for you. However - having said that - it would probably be a good idea to explore more options from other companies. You can find good products and get good results for less money IMO.

I've tried and had good things to say about:

Prolab
PVL Nutrients
AST
HDT

among many others.

Oh yeah, do a search for "protein" and "bodybuilding" and "creatine" and such in the forums and you will find a ton of good info.

Lift, sleep, eat and live well and you will see results. Go for it. Glad to see that someone is doing it in the gym rather than playing CS all day.

I think your doing fine with real food. Just eat like a horse and keep your calories clean. Stick with things like oats, brown rice, yams, greens for carbs. Lean red meat, chicken, tuna, eggs, cottage cheese, fish for protein. Add in some healty fats from natural pb, nuts, flax seed oil, fish oil. Then stick in your protein shakes post workout and for convienance.

A lot of the guys here seem to like Optimum Nutrition's whey. I like the strawberry flavor personally.

It's not really costing me much.. What $30 for the Cell tech + 30 for the Nitro..

I got the EAS Protein.. Have been taking it for months...

I don't know what other products that can really compare with Cell tech.. Maybe more can prove me wrong :p

I eat the white tuna... Right out of the can.

:)

Not to be an alarmist, but I'd be weary of eating too much tuna...

The FDA recommends you keep your consumption down to a certain number of cans per week due to the levels of mercury found.....

That said, I eat it right out of the can, too.. with salt and pepper. :) Yum..

It might be of interest if you're eating like 20 cans a week or something insane, though.

Cell-Tech is a HUGE waste of money. Just buy pure creatine and mix it with your own dextrose, or take it with a non-acidic fruit just (100% grape is good).

On what you pay for one week of Cell-Tech, I can cycle creatine for MONTHS. A $25 can of Creapure will last me two months or so.

Creatine is creatine, just like asprin is asprin. So long as you take it with an transport that gives you an effective insulin spike, there is NO difference. Why pay three-four times what you need to?

LOL..

:D

I did hear of that too, but I normally only eat 5 a week, maybe one a day..

20 a day.. :Q

I don't know though Amused..

I used creatince for about 3 months, saw gains, but not the same gains that i experienced with 2-3 weeks of cell Tech..

Now i know labels lie, but even on the back of Cell TEch it states that mass gains for like 1950% more than Protein and Creatine...

What do you think i should go for? I am going to GNC in a little bit.

Thanks all.

What do you think they have, some kind of super duper creatine no one else can get? Gains are not consistant, are as much mental as physical.

If you're just trying to put on bulk, i.e. you're a skinny dude, I got a better drink for you that I invented back in the early 80's that you can make at home with a blender. It's guaranteed to put mass on a Pipe Cleaner! PM me and I'll give you the recipe.

Haha. However, truth being told, lean red meat is a lot better for pure mass gains than tuna. Tuna is good if you're leaning out and need a lean source of protein.

Last time I checked MuscleTech recommends as their "program" regimen to take in more than the "average" dosage of creatine.

In effect, it's like telling people to get more than enough sleep so that people who are used to shaving hours off their needed sleep actually get what they need and in turn increases their effectiveness.

Not sure if that makes any sense.

Many resources recommend loading for a week or so and then doing maintenance. If you look at the MT Cell Tech label you'll find that their recommendations are more than what let on to be "normal" so that a trainee who is dedicated will inevitably get results because of the amount of saturation.

I'm tired. That probably didn't make sense.

I'm just saying that if you bought a high quality German Creatine that MT and Prolab and many others use and buy your own grape juice then you'll be saving more money and will be getting similar results. I'm a little skeptical of MT being superior due to "their better supplement engineering".

But hey - whatever works - and if you can afford it then all the better.

It's heavy on the wallet and it's "extra" contents can easily be added to other creatines for much less. That being said, I use Cell Tech and find it works very well.

I agree with that.. I picked up another 2lb thing today as the only Creatine the little GNC store had was around 25 anyhow for about 2-3lbs..

Considering I had taken straight Creatine before i figured I would give Cell Tech another shot...

Amused, i also agree about it being as much mental as physical.. But I still think i can achieve bigger gains overall with all the different items Cell Tech has in it..

I guess the Protein + Cell Tech + Tuna will have to do for now..

I'm weighing 160 and puttings 200LB sets on the bench..

Hopefully, i can gain an extra 15 pounds of body weight by Christmas.

:)

The main thing is that you are going to the gym and getting it done. That's very commendable. The supplements are really secondary. Important but secondary.

15lbs by Xmas is asking a little much IMO because you may plateau by then. You experience the most amount of gains in the beginning obviously ... you will gain by Xmas but 15lbs is alot.

Go for it.

If you want the 15lbs by Xmas ... you are doing heavy compound exercises right?

Full Squats
Deadlifts
Bent over Barbell Rows
Flat/Incline bench

Or any olympic-style exercise. Power Cleans and the like.

Thanks.

But about the weight, I started out very small, actually short.. 5'6, I am actually hitting big growth spirts as im getting bigger.

I'm now 5'11-6'0 and just starting to fill out, I'm pretty cut out, i just want more weight..

I don't think 15 is TOO much.. But your right, it can be hard to gain 15 pounds of body weight..

I'll keep you updated.

:)

Thanks again.
