cell phones that block radiation?

I've been wondering if possibly those clamshell cellphones with the antenna sticking out of the middle when you're holding it open talking on it block some of the microwaves from getting to your head. if not, is there any REAL way to limit my exposure to the radiation while talking on the cell? (besides using an earpiece)

probably not, plastic doesn't block it or else you wouldn't be able to heat food in plastic trays

Seriously dude... Its not gonna kill you. The same myth exists about monitors and I only have a second head growing out of my left eye! See it dont kill ya!

oh god...what moron convinced you that cell phone radiation is going to mutate your children?

block radiation = block the waves of information that they call "reception"

the cell phones with external antennas direct the radiation away from your head...however a cell phone has .6watts of power, compare that to a microwave with 1000 watts or the radio station tower that is rated in megawatts....I wouldnt worry about cell phones...there is a world standard that all phones must comply to

There is currently no conclusive evidence linking the microwave radiation from cell phones to brain tumors or other neurologic problems.

on another note, what's the advantage to wearing it on your belt/pocket and using an earpiece? now you're just blasting your gonads with the radiation, so not only will you get giant cancerous growths, you'll probably have deformed babies too. ;)

all cellphone holsters that are supplied by manufacturers now have to be at least an inch away from your body....to avoid gonad tumors

look at the power rating of you microwave, even the residue hat exsapes shielding is stronger than the cell pulse

but I don't normally press my head against the microwave. the radiation power disperses proportional to the distance squared, so a cell phone pressed to your head gives you several thousand times higher exposure than standing a few feet away from a microwave

I don't know why some of you are calling this moronic. it's not a myth, but rather a lab proven fact that radiation transmitted by most cell phones at a normal operating distance corrupts human DNA molecules and in some cases causes them to create mutations in new cells

Dude, you sound like that guy that made a big stink a few years ago running around telling people it wasn't safe to live near power lines. His 'proof' was a bunch of studies in which he ignored the majority of the data (which showed cancer as being generally random across the country) and scewed the results to get his answer.

Anyway, CELL PHONES WON'T HURT YOU. IT'S A MYTH, MADE UP BY THE MEDIA TO SCARE YOU.

Yes, it is moronic. Stop spreading rumors.

Maybe I can use this as an excuse to end phone conversations quickly (e.g telemarketers) - "Sorry, gotta go. I've already corrupted enough of my DNA molecules talking to you. You've just increased my risk of cancer...thanks a lot!"

oh no! everybody run from all that electromagnetic radiation! especially that stuff we call light!
