Please take poll :)

Cliffs:

1) Verizon wireless
2) new phones = bill up 60% --- can't help but feel ripped
3) go back to regular phones?
4) go balls out and get Blackberry?
5) change service provider and get G1 or IPhone?

-------------------------

We have VerizonWireless. Our calls have been dropping within 30 ft of our house for 2 years. They haven't fixed it.

We got new phones this weekend and the signal is much improved. They told me we just missed another $100 savings. I called customer service and they claim I got that price, but used funny math ... I really don't like being in another 2 yr contract.

I'm an over analyzer ... I had Gz'One and like it for what it is (a phone). The camera sucks, so I don't take pics.

There's a new Casio EXILM that is rugged, but expensive and gets piss-poor reviews. So I passed.

My wife and I both got LG ENV Touches. We are pleased with the phones, but overall I can't help but feel ripped off for some reason.
- They're just phones with advanced text/web ... no apps
- Our bill is going to go up about 60% (they made us switch to another plan so text and web were included).

So for that kind of money, I'm thinking Google G1 (but a buddy told me tmobile coverage here sucks) or friggin' iphone ... or screw it and get a Blackberry Tour (another $50/mo for 2) ...

Of course, at the same time, I'm thinking ... take these phones and shove it, get rugged Boulders and go back to our old plan.

Two iPhones, unlimited txting & data plans with free nights starting at 7pm instead of 9pm. I believe our bill is around $180, maybe a little less.

No clue, company provided and they do all the billing.

Verizon
4 lines, all basic (dumb) phones
1400 anytime minutes (was 700 until last month when we went over by a fair amount so I had it retroactively changed)
250 text/month plan on one of the lines (mine)
$115

I'm thinking about switching my line from a basic phone to a BlackBerry Curve or similar device, for which there is a $30/mo data plan. Might be fun.

sprint sero, $30/month.

I've been tempted to get a fancy hitech phone, but I really can't bring myself to pay the increased monthly fees for a data plan.

I think ~60 a month w/ unlimited data. probably really is unlimited since US cellulars network is too slow for any significant data usage.
