Cingular blows in pretty much every college town I've been to... either reception or the infamous system busy. It's either one or the other... at UCLA, you get good reception on campus, but once you hit Westwood kiss your reception goodbye. At UCI, system busy heaven. Same at UCR... here at UCSC, we don't even get reception up on campus... but once you get off campus it's pretty good. I have two phones- a Verizon phone for on campus and normal use (I don't have a landline at my apt) and a Cingular phone for the unlimited mobile to mobile talks with the gf =P The sad thing is that they cut you off after 2 hours and you gotta redial =\ Now to answer your question, in Davis, depending on where you live, you get no reception, or you get system busy. Same old story with Cingular everywhere. When I went up there to visit last weekend, Verizon worked out pretty well. Can you hear me now? Good.
