cell phones in bay area, ca

i'm in east bay (berkeley) and currently have sprint, but it's pretty crappy. does anyone else live here and have a better wireless service? i've heard conflicting reports.

i'm on AT&T and it works great in the fremont area and san jose area...i know people that go to berekley that say good things about AT&T also...

Verizon is good too (supposedly better than AT&T) but i don't know anyone with it in the berkeley area...

Out of all the ones I've had or my friends have had, AT&T (which was formerly CellularOne) had the best coverage/service. But, their prices are the highest. So, you really get what you pay for. Their customer service was really good too, 1-2 years ago. Never was on hold for more than a couple seconds.

I have Verizon and I get great service...unfortunatly they have a very slim selection of good phones.

Verizon has good service all around the bay area (for me) but thier service in Sacramento is just ok.
