I know sprint has a data number, # something or other that you can dial. If you have Sprint and their Wireless Web, you can call CS and ask them what the number is.
I think you just use the WAP function on the phone. My company previewed a Verizon getup with a Palm and a Qualcomm phone, and I think the PDA basically just acted as a monitor/keyboard for the phone.
I have a Sony CLIE and a StarTAC with Sprint. I just use my dial-up account from the palm so basically the phone acts as a modem. I get a whooping 14.4. Not bad for messaging and WAP. Just another one of the little "novelties" my friends know me for. I figure for the >$40 i spent on cables its worth it.
Sprint has a special number, #2932, that you use. Log in using 'web' and password is 'web.'
Using Sprint supplied Bluetooth drivers the connection is about 28.8 in speed. >>
SWEET!!!
Thanks for the info... just ordered an Audiovox Maestro.
Do you know anything about the upcoming Sprint 3G Network? 144K bit/sec :Q >>
They are rolling them out sometime this year in the UK
GPRS is already out.
Something like £4.99 a month which includes 1mb and then 2p for 1kb of data. Its cost per 1kb of data. You can pay something like £15 and get 15mb and then 0.5p per 1kb or something like that. Etc etc
