Cell Phone with a Speaker

I'm looking to finally get a cell phone after not having one for a year now. I live on the east coast so i can pick from verizon, at&t, t-mobile and cingular. Of these companies, anyone know which phones are the best to use. I want something that has a speakerphone built in, thats my biggest need, dont care if it does web stuff, has games or any of that. In NYC its illegal to drive with a cell phone to your head, so i need to speakerphone so i dont have to hold it while driving.

Any help is appreciated.

Sanyo 4900 from Sprint PCS has one. FANTASTIC PHONE! My girlfriend has one and loves it! Im currently using the flip, Sanyo 5300 (unfortunately does not have speakerphone though).

speaker phone is a must, i find it too hard to drive and hold the phone to my head (radiation) and talk. every cell phone should have a speaker built in so you can leave it in a cup holder and talk and conctrate on the phone. i dont like ear pieces, just too annoying.

this is prob the reason i waited a year to get a cell phone, prob will wait another year.

i looked at the plans from Sprint already, $45 is lowest they have any you dont get much for it either.

PCMarine, thats interesting, i see they give you a free cell phone booster, those things are a joke to begin with. It seems like a promising item but i found a AudioVox phone through verizon for $30 which has two way speaker built in and voice activated dialing too.

thanks for your help all, i was just curious what kinda phone you use in the car.

My boyfriend has an audiovox phone (the second cheapest one from verizon, i believe)....and it has speaker. I'm sure you can find way better phones tho...

My last 2 palm phones have had speakerphones built in.
The Kyocera QCP6035 had an easy to activate speakerphone but it was sometimes hard to hear people on it over the car.
The Samsung SPH-I300 has a much louder speakerphone but activating the speakerphone isn't easy without installing a hack. Works well with the hack though.

I like the features of palm phones and the new Kyocera 7135 that's coming out is supposed to be a mindblowingly cool phone.
Kyocera 7135

If you don't care for palm phones then I know that Nextel has a few speakerphone models.

You were looking at the plans that come with Unlimited Vision (mobile internet service). Sprint's cheapest plans start at $35 now. I am telling you this though, ask around at ANY cell phone forums (i.e. howardforums.com) and they will tell you the Sanyo 4900 is one of the greatest phones out right now.

I looked at evey cell phone provider and wasn't impressed with any of they phones they offer with the contracts are all 2-years with cingular and verizon now just to get the phone free, i havent had a cell phone in a long time now and wont get one prob forever.

NutBucket, would be using the phone in the ny/nj/pa area and some long distance calls. i would make most of my calls at night.
