cell phone suggestion?

Senior member
1 = good reception
2 = long battery life
3 = GSM phone
4 = tri or quad band
5 = no camera (well doesn't matter if the phone is relatively cheap)
6 = cheap

any suggestions?
btw, i'm bound to try non-flips again =) or slides/whatever

I dunno, but since my last SE I don't like the brand very much. Crap as hell reception (not the problem of my provider)
besides, by setting those requirement, i suppose you guys know that I don't want to spend so much on a camera phone b/c when I take photos, I like to do it with my Canon A610

nice suggestion, i looked it up and liked it
but hmm generally im looking for something cheaper..like no camera since I dont use it anyways

hmm both on the expensive side =\

Nokia 6230 FTW!
RAZR fits all but one of your requirements. Battery life is just average. With bluetooth on, mines needs a recharge after a little more than 2 days. My gf's 6230 can go for over 5 days with bluetooth on.

The Nokia 6101/6102 has gotten good reviews, and I think meets your requirements. I'll probably get it when I switch providers.

What provider?

That only matters for CDMA phones. If you're talking GSM, any phone will do.
Please. If you're talking GSM, only one provider is realistic anyway. Why would anyone go with T-Mobile except to MAYBE save a few bucks. Their network is 1/2 what Cingular's is, and they don't have as many subs to use mobile-to-mobile minutes with.
