cell phone ?...sprint pcs related

im about to sign a new plan with sprint and want to pick up a new phone...probably the sanyo 6200

i have 3 options

1) get it off amazon and pay $200 but i have mail in rebates for amazon on sprint to get $130 back, making it $30
2) get it at the sprint store with an instant rebate making the price $60 + tax
(both need to be done by the 10th for $70 sprint rebate)
3) wait till the end of august and see if it goes down even more

also is there any way to bargain for a better rate plan when u are also getting a new phone. because i need to activate a new contract in order to get the $70 from sprint...so once i activate and sign the plan i cant say im gonna cancel right away

Actually you CAN cancel right away, and that fact can be used to your advantage--but--not always: SprintPCS FAQ @ FatWallet.

BTW, no idea about the phone.

Hey MrDingleDangle.. I know some sprint stores were giving out phones that were free with activation.. if you're anywhere near West LA go to the new sprint store on Wilshire, I know they were running the deal.

they do have a couple free ones here, but i really like the 6200 ...

They have a grip of new phones coming in August. Although, they just gave me a $100 credit towards a phone (which was marked down from $300 to $100) for adding an additional number to my plan and waived the activation. They'll do just about anything right now for business. Tell them you'll shop around if they don't give you what you want. They know if you leave, 99% chance you will not come back!!
