cell phone service if traveling into Canada

SprintPCS - I'm going from NY to Calgary, AB, Canada in a week. Just wanted to know if it'd be pointless to take my phone with me. Yes, I can call Sprint to find out, but I have all week...

Looks like it will work according to their map (with a dual-band), but it doesn't say how much the roaming will be.

BTW I used to pay 45 cents a minute LD to Canada with my phone. I signed up for a 3.95 a month plan that lowered that to 10 cents a minute.

There is nation wide digital PCS service along the Trans-Canada Hwy now. Most populated areas have digital service, and there are very few areas in the southern half of the country that don't have analog.

On a separate note... how do I get a browser onto my web-enabled phone? A browser like Blazer... when I went to download it on Sprintpcs.com, it let me download the "handset" version that turned out to be a .prc file for PALM OS.
