Your welcome....

My work uses AT&T and we have never had a problem. But then again I may not know about any small probs as our phone bill comes each month on a CD-ROM. :Q:Q

Don't get Sprint PCS is all i have to say. The only reason i stay w/them is cause i get alot of minutes. But it seems like it's really a hit or miss b/c i think it depends where u live. Some providers work better in certain areas than others. I read an article in the Wall Street Journal that said Verizon had the best service, but it was the most expensive so u get for what u pay for.

Your profile says you live in New York. I've heard good things about Verizon wireless from family who live up there.

im actually in Pa for school. i was lookin at version earlier and it seems to have the best coverage. iud pay teh lil extra for the national plan because i can. an ill know itll work then

I have Verizon, good service.

My advice would be is to talk to other cell phone people in your area to see if the coverage is good or not. For me in Austin, Sprint sucks in south Austin (where I live), so that wasn't a choice right off the bat. Cingular (at that time) didn't have the coverage I liked, Austin to San Antonio to Houston ( I wanted Dallas/Fort Worth, also). It was a toss up between the company that is now T-Mobile and Verizon, I went with the best deal on price and minutes.

verizon is good in NYC

By the way, make sure you get a quality phone because my old phone sucked ass (it's a nokia) and doesnt get reception unless i pull the antenna out. If you get a pathetic phone, it doesnt matter what service you use

well cingular isnt available in my area and T-mobiles coverage isnt great. looks like im gonna go with version

im thingking ill get the Samsung A310 for teh phone. is it a good one? i dont need a massivily expensive phone

Not familiar with that phone, but I do suggest you consider getting a dual-band Verizon phone. That way you can still make calls in analog mode if digital is unavailable.

First, learn how to not only spell the name of the company, but at least have the correct word at that. lol.

Verizon 😛

Second, I have the Samsung A310. It's a very good phone. I'm denfinitely happy with it.

The A310 isn't too bad, I just got it a month ago and it seems my Nokia 5xxx (IIRC that's what the model # starts with) had better reception than the Samsung did. Overall I still like it except when I get a long distance call, it doesn't display who is calling just the number. Normally it would match the number with whats in the address book and show the name, but since in the address book I have 1-555 as the area code to make my calls, it comes in just with 555.

Let me know if you want any more info or features about it.

Oh and if you play 'Push' and get past level 13, tell me how you did it! Stuck there for 3 weeks now.

I use verizon. Yeah, I signed a contract and everything but the phone works when I want it. For about $50 a month I get 400 min, free nights, free weekends & 100 text messages. Suits my needs as I usually talk more on the weekends. With the nation wide I don't have to worry about long distance and roaming and stuff.

I don't know how a guy in NYC got 600 minutes, unlimited night and weekend minutes for $17.99 per month from AT&T. So I decided to cancel the AT&T service.
