Cell phone question...

I was trying to get a hold of someone all day today, I kept calling, the phone would ring, and eventually go to voicemail. Normally, this would indicate he just wasn't answering his phone. If he didn't have signal, it would typically go straight to voicemail. I did leave a couple voicemails, but for the most part I just kept trying again later.

The person finally called me back a little bit ago and apologized that he didn't have signal all day. When he got signal back, he suddenly got notification that he had 8 missed calls and a couple voicemails. My immediate response: How did you know you had 8 missed calls if you had no signal all day? He claims his phone still reported the missed calls even though he didn't have a signal. I say, how would your phone know it had a missed call if it never even rang to miss it. He said he didn't know, all he knows is it just popped up with 8 missed calls. I let it drop, but I don't believe him. I think he slipped up in mentioning it had missed calls.

So my question to the ATOT masses - is this possible? It's through verizon, not sure what phone.

Really? Ok, I owe him an apology then. :) I'm on t-mobile and it doesn't do that - the phone stores missed calls, not the network.

And no, not a boyfriend! :p Some guy I work with that I think was trying to avoid responsibility for something and make me do it instead. I was thinking he thought if he just avoided me I'd end up just doing it myself.
