if you have an e815 do you get notifications that you have voicemail waiting? because i don't and its pissing me off.

yeah, I definitely do, it makes a beep every 3 minutes or so when I have new mail, plus it shows an envelope icon.

damn, did you have to change a setting or does it do it automatically? i keep missing voicemails because it doesn't alert me.
does it do that even if your phone was off when you received the voicemail?

what about a indicator on the screen that you have voicemail?

Yep, as soon as you open the phone it says "You have new voicemail"...

yes, and it is the loudest fvcking beep in the history of mankind.

You imply that's a bad thing... can't you change it?

/me goes off to check phone...

is mine broken because it doesn't do any of that?

the flash on the camera doesn't seem to work either but i'm not too concerned about that. not like i need to take pics with a phone.

The flash doesn't work? Are you turning it on? While you're in camera mode, his the menu button, scroll to the Flash entry, and turn it on.

For your voicemail situation:

Menu > Settings > Ring Styles > Detail > Configure as appropriate (check that "Reminders" at the bottom is set to "Beep").

The problem can also be with your VMail box.
Did the notification work with your previous phone? Or is this your first phone?

wow, i thought where it said Flash On meant it was turned on and would work when i took a pic like a regular camera. thanks for clearing that up.

as for voicemail notification, i get nothing onscreen and my ring is set to wind chime (default i think) and reminders is set to beep. ,

Hrmmmm... couldn't hurt to call Customer Service and tell them you're having voicemail problems. Perhaps they would recreate your mailbox, and that might solve the problem.

there's a flash on this thing? 😕 i thought those were photo sensors.

It's a "flash" only insomuchas the option to turn on an annoying and underwhelming white light is available.

so does the white light come from those 3 dot things or the screen or what?

the white leds on the bottom left side? just a little uo and left from the silver logo? yes, thats the flash.

and yeah, its either on or off and its not exactly a flash. its more of just a light source.
