Cell phone question...

I'm gonna be getting a new phone soon, and I want to get one that I can hook up to my computer using USB/firewire or by some way and be able to download MIDIs off the internet and use them as my ringtones...

Is this available? And if it is, what option do I look for under the phone specs???

Thanks.

howardforums.com go there, be happy. There are a few phones that are capable of this, the motorola v300/400/500/600 are via a $3. usb cable on ebay and software you can download online. I have the v400 but don't really make use of this feature as I'm a silent-ring kind of guy.

treo 600 uses midis ... you can also point to a .mid file on the web via the browser and it'll ask if you want it installed as a ringtone. There are filesize limits though... I think it was no larger than 74KB.
