Cell phone question Sony Ericsson T616 V T610

I have been looking on Cnet and the other cell hone reviews sites and I can't find out if there are any differences between these two phones. Is it just that one is for AT&T and the other is for T Mobile?

Thanks

Yep, same phone just branded differently AFAIK.

Edit: my bad, I forgot that the lower frequency is different on the two US GSM networks.

The branding is differnt, T610 is T-mobile, T616 is carried by ATT and Cingular.

The T610 is a Tri-mode, 900/1800/1900 GSM
The T616 is also a Tri-mode, but 850/1800/1900 GSM

Most T616's are factory unlocked.

Cool thanks guys.

Cell Phone newb here, what does "unlocked" mean? You could take it to any cell provider?

The ability to use any carrier's sim card in your phone. Good for overseas travel as you can pick up pre-paid sim cards for less than you would pay for roaming. I would suggest the T610 for international use as it has the 900 GSM band that is used worldwide more.
