cell phone not getting text messages?

I have AT&T / iphone 3G.

There's a big snowstorm that hit Boston Fri and continues today (Sunday). Yesterday, I was able to make it out of my apt to get some food. When I came back to my apt, heard 3 single-rings and found 3 new text messages on my phone, all from earlier in the day that hadn't registered before for some reason. This is the first time this had happened to me. I did not travel out of the service area the whole time.

I have reason to believe that I probably received more text messages last night and this morning but are not showing up.

Is there any way to check somewhere, like say, a central server or something? Has this happened to any of you before? Could the snowstorm be the cause?

I'm on Spint and have times when i wont receive text messages for a while - sometimes as long as 8 hours. A reboot of the phone will help it some days, or sending a text message to myself (via online) gets me whatever is in the queue.

i've had this happen with us cellular and alltel. not often, but it happens. i figure its just the network lagging or being busy. *shrug* reboot your phone is all you can do, for whatever it may be worth.
