Cell phone mining is now currently becoming " a thing". Beware.

Eh, see the thing with phones is we're in commodity territory.

My used Pixel 4a is all I really need from a phone, and the only reason I even bothered to upgrade from my old LG V20 was because the screen burn in was getting bad and it was on the fritz.

But really damn near any phone will basically meet my phone needs, unlike a graphics card that is highly specialized and still seeing huge gen on gen performance increases.

Expect to see certain "Desireable" models rise in price, if slightly.

Requirements are a 64-bit ARM architecture CPU, prefer 8 (or more?) cores, and certain battery chemistries.

I basically only upgrade when OS updates stop and security updates become too infrequent or stop. My S23 Ultra should last a good while before that happens. My Note 10 was running ok still.
