Ok, I'm going to be switching to SprintPCS soon but I haven't decided on a phone yet. I was wanting to order a phone off the internet but I'm not sure which ones work with SprintPCS. Some people specifically say that the phone works on SprintPCS but others just list the networks (?) that they work on... Is there a definate way to tell if it works on SprintPCS or not? I do not have a SIM card nor do I know what one is

SprintPCS only carries phones that everyone has. I wanted more options I guess

So any phone that says CDMA should work on SprintPCS?
 
Sprint only activates Sprint phones.


I just got a Sanyo 8100..


Excellent phone for the price ($99 with new activation)


 
yeah buy one from Sprint, they will be a lot cheaper, and you won't have to worry about them not working with the service.
 
You don't necessarily have to purchase it directly from Sprint - ie, you could purchase it from eBay or Best Buy or some store selling cell phones. However, it has to be a made for Sprint PCS phone - no other network's phones work with Sprint. Sprint doesn't use SIM cards or anything of that nature.

The LG5350 and the 8100 are both excellent phones.....not sure did you want the color screens and digicams and such or not.
